The Colliers CRE auctions team has some 30 years' experience in the commercial, residential and leisure sectors, and is one of the most respected names in the industry. During the year 2004/2005, our team sold around £214 million of property at auction, with our success rate regularly exceeding 90%. The team is based in Central London, with a Director in Manchester and works closely with market experts from Colliers CRE's regional offices and specialist teams throughout the UK.
Our regular auctions are held in high-profile locations across the country, such as the SAS Radisson Hotel in London’s Portman Square, and The Magna Centre in South Yorkshire. Properties are marketed through a high-quality, detailed brochure, which is mailed directly to a closely tailored audience of probable investors, and a dedicated website. These are supported by advertising in appropriate regional and trade press.
Who are our clients?
Our clients range from private property companies and individual investors to local authorities, utility companies and corporations.
The disposal of public sector property is one of our specialist fields, accounting for more than £270 million of sales over the last five years. Some of our major clients include London Borough of Hounslow, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire County Councils, Sheffield City Council, as well as NWDA, Defence Estates and Health Trusts.
What do we sell?
A typical Colliers CRE auction would include commercial Investments from £100,000 to over £3million and residential property from individual houses to £7 million development sites.
Colliers CRE is also the UK ’s market leader in the auction of ground rents, which represented more than £41 million of our sales in 2004/2005.
Our auctions encompass properties from all business sectors, such as offices, industrial/distribution, petrol forecourts, healthcare, retail, hotels, leisure and development land. As well as these more traditional properties, we frequently achieve remarkable prices for unusual lots, which have included castles, entire villages, marinas, TV studios, a tunnel, a floating restaurant and a nuclear command centre!
Properties can be sold fully let, vacant or simply as land.
